CURA is pleased to announce the recipients of this year′s Community Action Research Grant:
- David Beard (Professor of Rhetoric, Department of English, Linguistics, and Writing Studies, University of Minnesota Duluth), lead researcher: A Partnership with Rural Critical Access Hospitals to Create Interventions into Working Conditions to Prevent Burnout
- Bonnie Keeler (Humphrey School of Public Affairs): Tribal authority to protect clean water in Minnesota: Documenting historical cases and identifying future strategies
- Lynette Renner (School of Social Work): An Evaluation of a Community-Based Intervention to Change Men’s Use of Violence
The Community Action Research Grant (formerly known at the Faculty Interactive Research Program, FIRP) encourages University faculty to carry out research projects that answer questions about these important regional issues, in partnership with community groups, agencies, or organizations in Minnesota.
The research from these projects will be published in The CURA Reporter.
