“Over-Policed and Under-Protected: Public Safety in North Minneapolis” is the first article for the online-exclusive CURA Reporter. Lead Author Dr. Michelle Phelps and her research team from the UMN Department of Sociology interviewed 112 North Minneapolis residents to understand their experiences with the MPD and their desires for the future of policing in Minneapolis. Included are policy recommendations drawn from the interviews and findings.
