Will Craig was associate director of CURA 1999-2014 and assistant director starting in 1970. During his time at CURA he was both administrator and researcher. He was a leading figure in the technical and institutional development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  He served as president of three different national GIS organizations - URISA, UCGIS, and NSGIC – representing three major constituencies: local government, academia, and state government.

Craig remains active researching public policy issues.  His work is published regularly in the CURA Reporter and elsewhere.
