Initially planning to become a Victim and Witness Assistant CJ moved to Minneapolis from Pierre, SD where she had worked for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court. She received dual bachelors degrees in Criminal Justice and Women's Studies from the University of Minnesota while working part time for the central Office of Human Resources. Following graduation she went full time at OHR and remained there until her move to CURA in 2016.
