Director, Community Based Research

As CURA’s Director of Community Based Research, C Terrence oversees CURA's community-based programs, including the Kris Nelson Community-Based Research Program, the Community Assistantship Program, the Artist and Neighborhood Partnership Initiatives, and the Krusell Fellowship.

Previously C Terrence was the Equity Manager at the Metropolitan Council in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota. In this role, C Terrence was responsible for implementing equity as part of the work that the Council does to address the high racial disparities in the region.

C Terrence is originally from Southern California and has lived in the Midwest since 2010. He graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, C Terrence has been living in the Midwest since 2010 with degrees in Urban Affairs and in Philosophy.

In his professional life, C Terrence has worked primarily within the realm of urban planning and public policy. Positions he’s held include Community Outreach Coordinator for Metro Transit (MN) and Transportation Planner for the Southeastern Regional Planning Commission in the Milwaukee metro region. In 2008, C Terrence worked as a field organizer in Philadelphia for Barack Obama’s campaign for presidency.  He resides in North Minneapolis with his wife and son.
