Basic
Search Help
Basic
search will search for up to four (4) search terms that you specify.
If you enter more than four terms, basic search will only search for
the first four terms you entered.
The search engine is not case sensitive,
and extra spaces and punctuation (including hyphens) are ignored. If
you wish to search for a hyphenated termfor example, “Greco-Roman”you
must enter “Greco” and “Roman” as separate terms.
Otherwise,
the search engine will search for “GrecoRoman.”
Basic
search will automatically connect all terms you enter with the word “AND.” This means the search will find only those documents
that contain all of the words you specify. For example, if you
enter:
“neighborhood Minneapolis poverty urban”
only
documents that contain the words neighborhood AND Minneapolis AND poverty
AND urban will be displayed.
Basic search will search
in the author, title, abstract, and keywords (view
a list of keywords) fields for the terms you enter. It will search
for all publications regardless of publication date, type, or availability
from CURA. For more refined searches, use advanced
search.
TIP: If you are searching for a
publication from a specific CURA program such as NPCR,
CAP, Communiversity,
or FIRP, simply use these
terms as one of your search terms.
