Education
CURA has supported research on education issues since its inception, with much of this work focused on advancing educational achievement, equity, and access for pre-K through college students. Recent CURA projects in this area have included studies of language and literacy programs, preparation of teachers for diverse school contexts, academic risk and resilience among homeless and highly mobile children, the effects of class size on student achievement, the impact of alternative teacher licensure, multiculturalism and diversity in education, public school responses to charter schools, and higher education funding.
