Search CURA Publications Catalog

The CURA publications library is currently being digitized by the University of Minnesota Digital Conservancy. When the project is complete, the entire CURA publications library will be online and fully searchable. Unfortunately, during this process we are not able to honor individual requests for publications . Additionally, we no longer have physical copies of publications to send out.

New publications are digitized daily and the publications catalog on the CURA website is not automatically updated with links to scanned copies, so please search the CURA collection at the Digital Conservancy for the publications you are looking for:

Search for reports, monographs, CURA Reporter articles, and other publications stemming from CURA-supported projects.

  • For search terms entered in the Search full text box, only publications matching all terms will be found. Use fewer terms to broaden your search, or more terms to narrow it.
  • The optional Program and Keywords fields can help further refine your search.

Reconnecting the Urban Landscape. 2009 Maleitzke, Adam

University Avenue, a historic stretch of road linking the Minnesota Capitol in Saint Paul with Northeast Minneapolis, is arguably the most historically important and diverse stretch of road in the state. For years, University Avenue has been home to a sprawling heavy manufacturing and industrial area, known as the Midway Industrial District. Naturally, heavy rail infrastructure was built to serve industrial properties, eventually forming a dense network of arteries and spurs. Moreover, for over 50 years, University Avenue was an auto-oriented corridor. This will soon change.

Residential Investment Activities in West Side Saint Paul. 2007 Rohrer, Amanda.

The Neighborhood Development Alliance (NeDA) had concerns about whether equity stripping was taking place in their targeted investment program area of St. Paul. Of particular interest was whether the owners of single-family homes and duplexes were converting the increased equity of rental properties to cash, without making necessary repairs to maintain the quality of their investment. To understand what was happening in this neighborhood, a graduate student research assistant examined evidence of investment and disinvestment in several census blocks within NeDA's target area on St.
