This report summarizes the findings of a 1997 survey of rural primary care practices in nine states that have relatively high statewide managed care penetration rates and large rural populations. The state include Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin.
