The CURA publications library is currently being digitized by the University of Minnesota Digital Conservancy. When the project is complete, the entire CURA publications library will be online and fully searchable. Unfortunately, during this process we are not able to honor individual requests for publications . Additionally, we no longer have physical copies of publications to send out.

New publications are digitized daily and the publications catalog on the CURA website is not automatically updated with links to scanned copies, so please search the CURA collection at the Digital Conservancy for the publications you are looking for:

Project Update: Fish Lake Dam Site Excavation.

Greco, Michael D.

This project updates reports on a three-year cooperative project between Minnesota Power and the Archaeometry Laboratory at the University of Minnesota at Duluth. The project, which involves an archaeological dig at the Fish Lake Dam archaeological site in Duluth on land owned by Minnesota Power, was funded by CURA through the Center for Community and Regional Research (CCRR). The project combined the efforts of University of Minnesota students, volunteers from the local community, and archaeological professionals to excavate the site, which provides a unique opportunity to look at a sequence of human occupations spanning several thousand years, from the Paleo-Indian Tradition to the Woodland Tradition.
