The CURA publications library is currently being digitized by the University of Minnesota Digital Conservancy. When the project is complete, the entire CURA publications library will be online and fully searchable. Unfortunately, during this process we are not able to honor individual requests for publications . Additionally, we no longer have physical copies of publications to send out.

New publications are digitized daily and the publications catalog on the CURA website is not automatically updated with links to scanned copies, so please search the CURA collection at the Digital Conservancy for the publications you are looking for:

Author:
Scott, Thomas M., George Latimer, and Thomas O'Connell .

This article is the introductory piece in a special double issue of the CURA Reporter devoted to the East Side Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC). Written by representatives of the three academic institutions that participated in the East Side COPC partnershipラthe University of Minnesota, Macalester College, and Metropolitan State Universityラthe article considers the significance of the partnership within the context of the national movement toward greater community-university engagement. The authors discuss the growing impetus for community engagement among institutions of higher education, provide examples of other community-university collaborations at each of the academic partner institutions, and identify some of the primary reasons for the success of the East Side COPC partnership as well as some of the challenges posed by such collaborations.
