The CURA publications library is currently being digitized by the University of Minnesota Digital Conservancy. When the project is complete, the entire CURA publications library will be online and fully searchable. Unfortunately, during this process we are not able to honor individual requests for publications . Additionally, we no longer have physical copies of publications to send out.

New publications are digitized daily and the publications catalog on the CURA website is not automatically updated with links to scanned copies, so please search the CURA collection at the Digital Conservancy for the publications you are looking for:

Thin Sections: Retrofitting the Minneapolis Park and Parkway System.

Author:
Neckar, Lance M.

Thin sections of the Minneapolis Park System are being overwhelmed by increasingly heavy use. The area between Lakes Calhoun and Harriet was studied in 1996 by a professor of landscape architecture to see if a better balance could be created between conservation of the park's resources and the many uses that people make of it. He proposes making use of the natural features of the landscape to segregate different types of traffic in the area while at the same time emphasizing its ecological features.
