A Unique Partnership to Organize and Empower the Invisible Populations of Lind-Bohanon Neighborhood’s Disabled
The Lind-Bohanon Neighborhood Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 1994 as the neighborhood group charged with engaging and revitalizing the community. The Kingsley Commons Residents Association is an independent living community of individuals with multiple sclerosis and various disabilities, owned and operated by Common Bond Communities, and is located in the Lind-Bohanon neighborhood. The project organized residents with disabilities at Kingsley Commons to identify top neighborhood problems, get those problems fixed, and get Kingsley Commons residents involved in LBNA and other community activities. The project will make Lind-Bohanon's residents aware of the challenges facing Kingsley and residents with disabilities, more fully involve Kingsley and residents with disabilities in Lind-Bohanon events, and address issues of concern to Kingsley residents.
