Supply Chain Analysis Project

Rebuild Resources is a nonprofit social enterprise in St. Paul with a mission to help addicts and alcoholics be sober, self-sufficient, and of service by providing meaningful transitional employment in business enterprises Rebuild owns and operates. Through previous research, Rebuild Resources has determined that their Custom Apparel and Promotions business could make a substantial environmental impact by changing the way they interact with the Custom Apparel supply chain. Currently traditional pre-dyed products are purchased from several leading national apparel providers. Organic, fair trade, and recycled apparel using environmentally responsible dye are all feasible and sustainable options. Jennifer Theodore, a graduate student in the College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources, developed a business plan for implementing this supply chain process for Rebuild Resources. The results are being used to grow the business.
