Loring Park Neighborhood LEED ND Sustainability Assessment Survey

Citizens for a Loring Park Community (CLPC) is the neighborhood organization recognized by the city of Minneapolis as representing the residents and institutions of the Loring Park neighborhood. The LEED system is based on measurable characteristics that contribute to sustainable human environments. On a neighborhood level this includes such things as number, type and affordability of housing units, access to jobs, services, transportation and public amenities, numbers of street trees, amount of parking, plus a variety of other elements that make up Loring Park's rich urban fabric. Jillian DeCoursey, an Architecture graduate student in the College of Design, designed a survey of the current characteristics of the Loring Park Neighborhood based on LEED-ND. The results are being incorporated into CLPC’s neighborhood master plan.
