Evaluating and Measuring Racial/Economic Justice Organizing

The Harrison Neighborhood Association (HNA) is a geographically-based, resident driven, multicultural, multiconstituent, multi-issue organization. The Harrison Neighborhood Association has a strong track record of community organizing and engagement. Harrison neighborhood leadership has been struggling to quantify and communicate the progress made around racial and economic justice organizing. Jessica Armstrong, a dual degree graduate student in the Humphrey School and the School of Social Work, recommended specific evaluation tools and measurements relevant to HNA’s vision and role in the community. The results are being used to present concrete outcomes to foundations and the public.
