Clean Energy Resource Teams
The Onamia Healthy Communities Partnership started in 2008 and worked to identify a number of community priorities. One of these was around the need and desire for more local foods, markets for local producers, a Farmers Market and eventually a local foods café and local foods distribution network. Onamia Area Farmers' Market and the All Season Farmers' Market now meet that need. Farm Market Cafe opened June 21, 2011 and serves breakfast and lunch for dine-in or take-out. Now that they have been established the partnership would like to explore how to market all these businesses in a coordinated cost effective fashion. Amy Leach, a marketing student, will interview key stakeholders, identify key marketing strategies for the Onamia Area Farmers' Market, the All Season Farmers' Market and the Farm Market Café and develop a marketing plan. The results will be used to promote local foods in the area.
