Date:
February 20, 2012 Contact person:
Minnesota Public Radio's Ground Level blog will host online discussions of the Central Minnesota Sustainable Development Plan beginning February 20. The project—known to locals as the Resilient Region project—aims to meet the needs of Central Minnesota through the creation of a community-led comprehensive plan for social, economic and land use vitality. The blog kicks off with a discussion about economic engines and the balance of economic and environmental vitality.
Project partners include the University’s Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships, College of Design, College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences, Center for Transportation Studies, Center for Urban and Regional Affairs, and University of Minnesota Extension.
