The Hennepin-University Partnership (HUP) is pleased to announce that the proposal, "Determining Alignment of Probation Conditions" has been awarded the Spring 2018 Hennepin-University Collaboration Grant. The proposal was developed by Kelly Mitchell of the Robina Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice at the University of Minnesota, and Danette Buskovick of the Hennepin County Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR). Funders for this grant are Hennepin County Administration and the UMN Center for Urban and Regional Affairs.

The grant round was an outcome of the HUP Spring Mixer, which took place on March 2. Sponsored by the DOCCR and attended by 63 County staff and UMN researchers and staff, the Spring Mixer provided an opportunity to catalyze collaborative projects addressing the theme of "Disparities in Community Corrections." Event attendees were eligible to follow up on connections made at the event with a grant proposal. Seven excellent proposals were submitted from researchers and staff across the University and the County. A team of leaders from Hennepin County and the University of Minnesota made the final selection of the grant awardee.

Congratulations to Kelly Mitchell and Danette Buskovick.  We look forward to the launch of their research project!
