Ed Goetz Receives Best Paper Award

Edward Goetz, CURA director and Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs faculty member, received the 2011 “Best Paper” award from the Journal of Urban Affairs for his article “Where Have All the Towers Gone?” Goetz received the award in April at the Urban Affairs Association Conference in Pittsburgh.

initiated in 2003, the award gives recognition to a paper published in the journal that is considered particularly outstanding as a scholarly contribution to the field of urban affairs. All papers published in the most recent complete volume of the journal are automatically eligible for consideration. The award is determined by a committee appointed by the Chair of the Urban Affairs Association Governing Board. Recipients are given a complimentary conference registration and a plaque presented during the UAA annual meeting.
