Faculty
CURA provides grants and technical assistance to University of Minnesota faculty who carry out research projects that involve significant public policy issues in Minnesota, and that include interaction with community organizations or public agencies. CURA can help to:
- broker relationships between faculty and community partners
- frame a research question to facilitate engaged scholarship
- create connections with other faculty interested in applied or engaged research
- support interdisciplinary work (CURA is an all-University center)
- translate applied research for scholarly purposes
- mentor graduate students on applied research projects
- facilitate outreach to policy makers and other stakeholders on important public policy issues
