On September 16, HUP will be hosting a Mixer to connect County staff and University faculty around the theme: "How can the County's Facility Services become better stewards of County assets for both internal and external clients?".

12,000 people enter Hennepin County buildings everyday, ranging from libraries to clinics. Facility Services designs, builds and maintains these structures, ensuring they are functional, safe, and inviting to both the public and County staff.

This event will focus on several key topics, including:

  • Human-Centered Design
  • Internal/External Client Communication & Engagement
  • Process Evaluation

This event will include a $25,000 grant round for research proposals. Proposals will be submitted by teams composed of University faculty and County staff. Grant(s) will be awarded in November 2016.

Materials: Want a head start on your proposal? Review the grant materials here.

RSVP: Faculty members interested in working with a great community partner are encouraged to participate. If you're interested, fill out this survey and we'll be in touch.
