A great conversation started at the first Geo:Code open data codeathon last year. This year, we’re taking our conversation about community, open data, technology and geography across the Twin Cities!

At the event

You'll work together in project teams and develop apps, websites, data visualizations, service innovations, and other solutions that can improve government services, address community concerns, and give residents greater access to data.

You'll use government Geographic Information System (GIS) data free of charge and without need for a license.
Take part in International Open Data Day and Code for America's CodeAcross weekend. Have fun and help your local community.

Who should attend

Anyone can attend including:

  • Residents and community members
  • GIS professionals and enthusiasts
