The Hennepin County Housing First Partnership will be presented as a model for collaboration and building community partnerships from which participants may gain ideas to incorporate into their housing programs. A decentralization of core functions and a large pool of housing providers has allowed for a rapid start up of over 1,000 households housed within five years. Roughly 83% of the clients have remained in this Housing First program or have successfully moved into other permanent housing.
Speakers:
- Lisa Thornquist, Ph.D., Human Services and Public Health and Hennepin County Office to End Homelessness
- Markus Klimenko, Program Manager of Housing and Homeless Initiatives, Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health
- Pamela Koens, M.A. Clinical Psychology, Housing First Project Lead, Housing and Homeless Initiatives
