Neeraj Mehta

Director of Community Programs

Neeraj Mehta is director of community-based research at CURA. Neeraj has a strong background in community-based work, having worked as a program officer at Nexus Community Partners, a program manager with Project for Pride in Living, and the program and strategic development director with the Sanctuary Community Development Corporation.

Neeraj has a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, also from the University of Minnesota. In 2011, he was awarded a Bush Leadership Fellowship, which he is using to learn from community-building efforts in North Minneapolis and other places where strong social capital and social networks have created the foundation necessary to effectively address issues like housing, education, and public safety.
