Northside Seed Grants

SERVES: Community and Neighborhood Organizations in North Minneapolis

GOALS:

  • To create seed projects to support identified and emerging community-university partnerships in north Minneapolis

PROGRAM: The Northside Seed Grants (NSG) support community organizations that operate programs serving residents of the Northside community by providing student research assistants and faculty researchers to carry out neighborhood-initiated and neighborhood-guided projects. The program provides approximately 200 hours of student time to work on a project defined by the community (260 hours during the summer).

APPLICATIONS: Applications from Northside organizations are accepted three times a year. Deadlines are March 15, June 30, and October 30. The application form and application instructions are available online.
