There are several online resources available for accessing information about meeting rooms or conference space on campus.
1. University-controlled rooms. Most classrooms are controlled centrally by the Office of Classroom Management.
2. College or department-controlled rooms. Departments and colleges control some rooms on campus and they often charge a fee for their use. You can check on room availability at www.deptviewer.umn.edu/viewer/default.aspx. For example, the 3M Auditorium in the Carlson Building holds 250 people and costs $250 for half-day use, $350 for a full day.
3. Humphrey-controlled rooms. Availability for many of the popular rooms in the Humphrey Center—including the Cowles Auditorium, the Wilkins Room, the Stassen Room, and room 186—is listed only on the Humphrey Institute website at www.hhh.umn.edu/news/conference_center/rates.html.
4. Continuing Education and Conference Center (formerly the Earle Brown Center). Located on the St. Paul campus, this is a full-service conference center with various-sized rooms, food service, and technical support. For information, visit www.cce.umn.edu/conferencecenter/.
5. Student Union rooms. Rooms in Coffman Union and the St. Paul Student Center are separately controlled:
